Her Royal Highness!

Any other anglophiles out there?? My mom, best friend and I sure are. SO I was anxiously refreshing my internet all week waiting for news of the new royal baby. And now she's here!

Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was born on Saturday morning and is absolutely adorable. And obviously Kate was superwoman looking gorgeous hours after giving birth.

I did read a great article the other day though about not comparing ourselves to her. She DOES indeed have a whole team of people getting her ready for the public. Obviously she stays in great shape with a personal trainer and as for the rest, she's used to putting on a smile and being presented to the public and paparazzi. So fellow mamas out there - relax. We don't NEED to look like that after delivering a baby. And we should probably be thankful for that. Can you imagine the pressure? Yikes.

However, I know I definitely want to make more of an effort next time around so here are some ideas on the matter...

This dress is so cute, I could definitely be down with wearing this home. It looks comfy too which is a definite plus. And I'd probably forgo the heels for something like this. And lastly after either a shower or a healthy dose of dry shampoo, a high wrapped ponytail would be a pretty easy, low maintenance hairstyle for heading home. And if you have friends or family there with you, they'd probably be happy and able to help with hair or make-up if you'd want that.

Overall though, unless you just WANT to "dress up" for leaving, who cares what you look like. You just made a tiny human and that is a miraculous thing. Most of us don't have an audience when we leave and I'm sure your little one doesn't care what you look like as long as you are giving them lots of cuddles :)

Congrats to Will and Kate on a beautiful baby girl! <3

Toddlers in Camo

I don't know about y'all, but I am in love with camo toddler clothing. I just think it is the cutest. A doesn't actually have any pieces in camo but I'm hoping to remedy that quickly here, hehe :)

I just can't get enough.

In honor of all the camo goods, I wanted to also share this link: SoldiersAngels.org.
It is this fantastic website where you can donate, help out or "adopt" a soldier. I did this for a few years in college, and am hoping to start up again this fall. You send one care package a month (they send you all the packing materials), and a letter or card each week. You may not get anything back but it is a wonderful way to let the soldiers know we are thinking of them, and a great way to support the men and women serving our country <3

Toddler Fashion part two

A's apartment-hunting outfit, haha! This is something we would put him in for church or music class mostly. It's pretty loose and seems comfortable but I like putting him in shorts and a tee more for playdates, going to the park, etc.

The top is actually a polo onesie we purchased at Kohls, similar here. Overalls are OshKosh. They were a gift so I'm not sure where they were purchased, but you can find similar overalls here.

And ohhhhh my goodness, can we pause a minute to swoon over the adorable overalls OshKosh has?? I know what I'll be buying more of! LOL

Andrew Fashion - Church, June 29

So, we put Andrew in this checkered button-up and plaid pants for Church this past weekend. He also wore his "Dressy" sandals (see here). I should have taken a photo in the morning when he was buttoned up all the way and tucked into his pants.... WAY cuter, haha.
This was shortly before lunch so he was kind of restless and moving way too fast for a photo shoot. Anyways, the top was originally from Burlington Coat Factory - similar in "Elephant" Gray here.
Similar Pants here.

Catching up...

Wow, I had no idea it had been so long since my last post! Anybody else feel like May lasted about a year, and June went by in a blink?? It's nuts.

Well not too terribly much to say, but have a bit of a photo dump to share!

Family photo in front of the Elephants

Andrew LOVED playing in the Kid's splash zone at the zoo! Definitely planning another trip there in the next week or so (with swim suit, haha)

Went to our favorite breakfast place, Brunchies. Andrew had blueberry pancakes, milk and melon

At Family First Sunday at our Church

Playground fun!

Having some giggles on the swings

Father's Day loot! We went to see a couple movies the night before and I cooked him a steak dinner that night :)

Little man is finally beginning to be interested in coloring

And he now loves pushing his toy bus around the floor and table doing his version of "Vroom-vroom"

We've been going to the HCCB Music & More classes, going to the pool at least once or twice a week, Jesse has been working a bunch and it just seems like the days are flying by!

Also, I'm making a Toddler Fashion board on Pinterest! It's all boy stuff so far but check out the few pieces I have if you want! I'll also be posting A's outfits around once or twice a month.
Here's the Pinterest link: Andrew Fashion

Alright, that's all I've got at the moment, TTFN! <3
