34 weeks and Happy Thanksgiving!!

"What's new this week? Your baby is clocking in at five pounds and could be as tall as 20 inches by now, and the vernix (the white coating protecting your baby’s skin) is getting thicker. This week, a boy's testicles start making their way down from his abdomen to their final destination: his scrotum (look out below!). While about three to four percent of boys are born with undescended testicles, it's nothing to worry about — they usually head downtown before junior turns a year old. In other baby-related developments, those tiny fingernails have probably reached the tips of his fingers by now — and getting ready for that first postpartum manicure."

How far along? 34 Weeks

Maternity clothes? maternity & comfy clothes...

Sleep:  Meh, it's hit or miss. Heartburn and baby practicing for the Olympics don't help but again, SO thankful for the body pillow!!!

Best moment this week: Sharing Maternity shots, and Thanksgiving!!!

Miss Anything? Being comfortable. And being able to have a drink.

Movement: SO much. I think baby needs to move out soon before I start bruising. I start crying sometimes when I can't get him to settle down and I'm exhausted haha.... I did find out I can sometimes rub my belly for like 10 min and then he will go to sleep :)

Food cravings: Sweets :-/

Anything making you queasy or sick: Hamburger and pastrami. And anything gross makes me want to vomit in an instant.

Gender: Boy!

Symptoms: Back aches, hip aches, feeling as though my bones are LITERALLY bendy in my lower back... super creepy. Heartburn before bed....

Belly Button in or out? I feel like it may be losing the battle... usually one little part of it is sticking out....

Wedding rings on or off? on

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! I wrote a letter to baby the other night when I couldn't sleep and got so excited and happy thinking about his arrival! I hope he is (safely) early cuz I just can't wait any longer!

Looking forward to: baby's arrival! =)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! Hope you all had safe travels and yummy food :)

33 Weeks

"Your baby is still gaining weight (about half a pound a week), and he could grow up to another full inch this week. With that much baby inside your uterus, your amniotic-fluid level has maxed out, which explains why some of his pokes and kicks feel pretty sharp these days. (There's less fluid to cushion the blows.) Antibodies are being passed from you to your little one as he continues to develop his own fetal immune system, which will come in handy once he's outside the womb and fending off all sorts of germs."

Movement: Still SO much, lots of hiccups, kicks, punches, etc.
Food cravings: Fruit, frozen yogurt, yogurt, chocolate... ramen, and Chicken CBOs from McDs lol

32 weeks.... EIGHT MONTHS

"What's up with your baby? He's starting to get ready for his big debut, tipping the scales at almost four pounds and topping out at just about 19 inches. In these past few weeks, it's all about practice, practice, practice as he hones the skills he'll need to thrive outside the womb — from swallowing and breathing to kicking and sucking. And speaking of sucking, your little one has been able to suck his thumb for a while now. Something else to note: As more and more fat accumulates under your baby's skin, he's becoming less transparent and more opaque."

Maternity clothes? Yes, still mixing stretchy pre-pregnancy stuff with maternity clothes...

Sleep: Pretty good, I definitely am SO happy to have that body pillow... without it I'd be one unhappy camper lol

Best moment this week:
Getting the nursery set up!!! I am so obsessed with it!!! :-D

Miss Anything? Oh gosh, lunchmeat, hard cider, laying on my stomach, being able to turn over without it being a huge debacle, sushi, coffee, being able to breathe normally... I am so excited to have my body back within a few weeks (and baby in my arms)

Movement: Hiccups everyday, baby pushing body parts against my belly, lots of kicks and elbows and he loves punching my belly button lol.

Food cravings: Sweets lately, and fruit. I want cantaloupe SO bad!!!! Haven't heard from the doctor about the screening so hoping no news is good news? Should find out for sure on Thursday.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really but still ground hamburger makes me want to gag. Though burgers and meatloaf sound amazing! I just can't LOOK at the meat when I'm eating burgers and it works out great lol

Gender: Sweet (and active) baby boy

Symptoms: Heartburn again!!!! Makes me not even want to eat sometimes... Otherwise I definitely have back and hip aching at night and sciatica problems if I do too much.

Belly Button in or out? Still flat but it pokes out a bit each time when he punches it haha!

Wedding rings on or off? On, and not any tighter than before.... everyone keeps saying that I'm thinning out above the bump, but still growing round the middle lol!, My day was made when a stranger asked me when I was due and then said "oh wow! You look great!!" when I told her it was the end of next month hehe

Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY :) I'm soooo excited to meet our little guy, I literally am chomping at the bit to put him in his fleece elephant nightie-onesie and just sit and cuddle him and just stare at him in wonder haha :) Strangely I am also looking forward to the changing and burping and less nice aspects. I'm ready to start doing it and get comfortable with it and get the 'firsts' done (first time getting peed on, pooped on, puked on....etc) lol

Looking forward to: Maternity pictures this week, the next OB appointment, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, decorating and of course.... MEETING BABY! :-D

Nursery progress! Door decorations and furniture!

Eeeeeeee sooooo excited!!!! All of the baby furniture finally came in, and it is all assembled and put away and I couldn't be happier! I thought I was obsessed before but now I wander into Andrews room to look giddily at everything and imagine our sweet baby boy squirming in the crib or playing with toys.... words cannot express how excited I am to meet this little guy!!!

Here are some pics of the progress:

Jesse putting together the crib

My project while he was building (letter stickers are from Amazon)

Crib is all set up!!!

Baby blanket made by Jaime :) Stuffed bear and elephant of course... and Jesse picked out a  rattle and mobile that are good for baby's development of course  :)

'
Jesse testing out the glider he just built... This is gonna be the "mealtime" chair... planning on throwing an old blanket over the back so hopefully that'll catch all the baby puke haha!

Nursery is DONE! Here is the door...

Looking into the room from the living room

"closet", humidifier  humidity sensor, cd player/ speakers, nightlight stuffed frog, toys, accessories, books, stuffed animal crate, cleaner....

Hamper, wipes, diaper bag, tote of blankets, etc...

Elephant shelf, some extra clothes, and the crib

The dresser!

Dresser/ changing table and bubble mirrors :)

I kinda suck at Panorama photos, but here goes:

So as you can see it is a bit cramped but really not too bad! It's very cozy and peaceful. Just need to hook up the fan, order more diapers, buy a few frames and hang those... and then just the little things like setting up the wipe warmer, hooking up the baby monitors and finishing packing the hospital bag....
I am so, so, SO excited to have our son here with us and eventually using his room-- I love it!
