Living with a three-week old

"A wail. s a wail is a wail…well, not really. Your baby has a whole repertoire of cries that mean a variety of things from "feed me" to "hold me" to "get this big poop out of my diaper!" And once you learn how to decode baby cries, life will get easier for the both of you. What else is up? Spit-up for one thing and probably some pretty explosive sounds coming from the tush region as baby's digestive system kicks into high gear. And speaking of that adorable butt, be prepared for some colorful diaper rashes. You might be considering the pros and cons of the pacifier about now (your call, Mom) and wondering when you can take your little one out for a stroll (and how to dress him once you do). In brain-related news, your baby is ready for more complex shapes (bye-bye circles, hello zigzags!) as his vision, ability to focus, and concentration improve rapidly. He might be really digging his mobile now or a soft toy waved in front of his face. As for Mom, you might dig a deep massage right now as the combination of your stretched-out tummy muscles and hormonally loosened ligaments are causing some seriousback pain. It takes time to get your body back on track, but there are things you can do to help the process (and ease back soreness) right now, including minding your posture (sit up straight!)"

First off can I just say it is SO funny how much motherhood changes you... I know, everyone says it-- it shouldn't be a surprise but seriously. The other day we were at the hot tub and the mosquitoes got kinda bad... As we were leaving I saw one land on Andrew's face and flipped OUT. Lol, I told Jesse later that I had a surge of anger and wanted to "karate-chop that mofo".... hehe. But also the amount of thoughts that run through my head about people hurting him or things happening to him are staggering. And they all make me see red for a moment or two lol...

This past week we had some company! Jesse's parents came down for a few days to meet baby and have a break from the 20 below weather up north (certainly do NOT miss that). We visited the zoo, Maderia beach, St. Petersburg pier, Medieval Times, and the aquarium-- it was exhausting but a lot of fun, and so great to see them! Baby definitely enjoyed being in their arms and seemed to enjoy the carseat and stroller-induced naps haha ;-P

New development: baby has moved to his crib!! Last week we moved him from the pack and play in our room to the crib in his room. The first night he slept there about 30 minutes total. The second night about 3 hours or so and it's been getting better and better every night. Today for instance he's been in there almost 12 hours! Minus feedings and changings and one short break when he came to our room to cuddle him back to sleep this morning :) It was so hard getting used to him not sleeping in our room! Also we got into a very bad pattern of co-sleeping when he would be really fussy so we've stopped that as well. That was especially hard-- he is so cuddly and warm and is so calm when sleeping in bed with us... but it's dangerous for him and also is encouraging bad habits so we bit the bullet lol.

At the last appointment baby was another half inch longer and he is officially over 9 lbs now! He hiccups probably once a day... poor guy will look so confused for a while and wakes himself up with them and then after awhile he'll begin crying :( He also sneezes in twos a few times a day which is adorable.

We have begun using our fuzzibunz diapers more religiously now and they are working great! No leaking, they get nice and clean in the laundry and are pretty easy to prep for the wash as well. They look HUMONGOUS on him but I'm loving them! Baby is using the pacifier pretty often now, we started because of the hiccups but are using it for whenever he is being fussy for no reason and won't calm down. He also is taking bottles great (even from me) which is fantastic!

Still working on rolling, lifting his head like a champ, and sitting and standing is being worked on. When I am burping him he will straighten his back all the way and hold himself up really well-- his neck/ head throw him off balance after a few seconds though haha. He is taking quite a bit of weight on his legs too. He is smiling, curiously looking around at the world, working on crawling and just barely starting to use his hands. he also figured out a way to get his pacifier back into his mouth when he spits it out haha. He is awake a lot more during the daytime as well.

As for me, I am taking IB Profun much less which is really nice. Still some soreness and certain things still aggravate the stitches/ area but good for the most part! Having some back pain recently from slouching, etc... I need to work on that lol. I cannot WAIT to get past the six weeks so I can start working out, stretching and swimming again!!! Very pleased with how fast my tummy is shrinking-- breastfeeding really does work wonders with that lol. I also think it's funny how my appetite has changed so dramatically. The last few weeks of pregnancy I was hungry alllll the time, and now it's pretty rare I get hungry at all.I tend to have small snacks and then once or twice a day realize I need to have a legitimate meal. While my in-laws were here it was nice because we just automatically ate meals. Best we've eaten since the hospital haha!

Hoping to go on more walks and errands with baby, and looking forward to more sightseeing next month sometime!

Well, baby is awake, time for some cuddlin' :)

1 week old

...and prolly feeling like a zoo animal with how much we sit and stare at him, haha! We are so enjoying parenthood and being near our little guy- definitely seems like perfection to us :)

Funniest face: Either his scrunched up "what are you doing?" face, or when he is looking for food and he opens his mouth (with eyes still closed peacefully) and raises his eyebrows hehe

Biggest achievement: It is INSANE how much neck muscle he already is showing!! Anytime he is laying on one of our chests he pushes his head up and holds it for as long as he can (usually several seconds) and will turn it, look around, etc before lowering it. He also loves head bopping us which I'm guessing is when the neck muscles rebel and give out haha! He also is already beginning to start the rolling over process-- yikes!! If you put him on the bed on his back he will get almost onto his side before falling back and if tummy down on your chest, he rolls onto his side pretty easily... Once I was holding him in front of me and he stretched his legs down so they were almost straight and I tried to bring him down a bit... and he actually took a little weight... I freaked out a bit and lifted him up right away which made him bring his feet up lol! I feel like we may have to deal with more than I thought quicker than we thought haha....

Favorite moment: Either watching his face while pooping, his head-bopping when laying on your chest, feeling him grip/hug your shoulder or watching his face as he sleeps. Also, nothing in the world beats just holding his soft little body <3

Height/length: 22 1/2 inches

What we've learned so far:
-He doesn't fuss nearly as much (if at all) when you change him if you just change his diaper on a schedule rather than wait until he lets you know he is uncomfortable... prolly a d'oh thing but hey we got it now lol
-Nap Nannies are miracle workers!!
-You aren't SUPPOSED to use a pacifier for the first while but after already occasionally feeding him from storage bottles, him doing just fine with the breast feeding and seeing a newborn sucking on one in the hospital on "A Baby Story" on TLC (yeah I know, I know... SUPER legit source, right?? LOL), we figured sometimes he just needs the comfort. It's either that or feed him for about 2 or 3 minutes until he falls asleep...
-The vibration setting on the pack and play rocks my socks right off
-Baby farts are possibly the cutest, funniest things ever :)
-your pinky finger makes a great substitution for the pacifier... we weren't sure if we just made that up out of desperation one day or not but when the pediatrician did it to keep him calm we sneaked a sheepish grin at each other happy that it wasn't just us haha!
-Laundry once a day is a must. Something either gets peed on or spilled on or leaked through.. same goes for dishes- particularly the breast pump.
-Couldn't be more thankful for the pack and play. I literally just have to sit on the edge of my side of the bed and lean over to reach him. SO convenient.
-IB Profun is a new mother's best friend-- as is the insulated water jug you get from the hospital!
-Air drying before putting on cream after feeding really DOES make a world of difference.
-A three ring binder full of page protected documents for baby is soooo helpful. Especially when you go in for things and need to bring a ton of stuff... it's all in there :)
-Boppy pillow is a must-have!! SO nice for feedings!!!

Well it has been a busy week! After getting home from the hospital we had some good down time which was very nice! Monday morning we had baby's first pediatrician appointment. It went very well,  baby was declared healthy and almost back to his birth weight. The doctor gave us a list of vaccinations that we are going to research to see which we actually want him to receive, and he also sent us to the hospital to get another Bilirubin test since baby still looked a bit yellowish. We did find out he is in the clear which is great and we will get more confirmation at his next appointment which is Monday.

Tuesday Jesse worked a double so I tried to get up throughout the night so he could get a bit of sleep which of course left me absolutely exhausted by 7am. Baby slept for three hours and then after a feeding and diaper change, he began fussing enough that I gave up and did a no-no: I arranged the pillows and comforter to block in three sides of a doubled up baby blanket, bundled Andrew up, covered him with a blanket, gave him the pacifier, then laid next to him with my arm wrapped around and cradling his head before passing out for almost 5 hours. I woke up and baby was still sleeping peacefully so I sneakily got up, blocked him in with pillows and quickly ran around doing some very quick things (keeping a very close eye on him) before waking him up for a change and feeding. It was a miraculous event haha :) The rest of the day went great-- we just hung out and he didn't fuss nearly as much. Then granny baby-sat for a while in the evening while I took a shower/ bath, dressed, did laundry, loaded the dishwasher, searched for and found storage bags and AVENT bottle coupons, did research about where to purchase a few items and pumped a bit. Then after a feeding baby napped on my chest until daddy came home and stole the baby from me lol

Today I took baby into the living room early to give Jesse 5 hours of baby-free sleep, and then mama got a short nap in the afternoon. We've literally just been lounging in the living room with the ANTM marathon going in the background hehe

Tomorrow we have to pick up some paperwork, and signing up for something called 'Healthy Start', we have a WIC appointment for baby, and then have a newborn photo session scheduled for the afternoon... it's gonna be a full day!!

We are both doing well, I like to think we are adjusting well. I am still not letting myself get enough sleep because I'm silly and Jesse stresses out a bit but otherwise we're doing well. Health-wise I'm doing okay. Sorry if this is TMI but I nearly had a heart attack when I had one of the large clots they warn you about but after talking to my OB I feel much better and sounds like I'm just fine, I just need to start being a bit more active. The stitched pull sometimes which is a bit uncomfortable but not painful. The afterbirth cramps are nearly gone, I'm baffled at how quickly my tummy is shrinking, and now that I am pumping my chest-area is doing much better-- the first few days I could hardly keep from slouching cuz I wasn't used to the weight haha!

Well, more next week! I cannot believe how fast this week has gone!! I am already sad thinking that those precious days have slipped by so unbelievably quickly but looking forward to the days to come as well. It is amazing how much I look forward to every moment with Andrew. My heart is so overwhelmingly full of love and I'm close to bursting with happiness most of every day. I feel so complete being a mother <3 Jesse and I prolly talk about how cute he is 20 plus times a day, jump at the chance when we ask if the other wants to hold/ cuddle him, and we have already had moments where we refuse to give him up (I am the more guilty on this charge lol). Parenthood is treating us great thus far and we're excited/ looking forward to each new day learning and growing along with baby :)

Baby Andrew's birth day!

*So here's the deal: I kept a journal throughout our hospital stay and have cataloged it all here... I kept everything what I consider to be pretty PG but sorry if it makes anyone squemish or anything. Throughout my pregnancy I got frustrated because you so rarely hear the nitty gritty or "real" story... everything seems so deceptively smooth or whatever, so I wanted to try to capture the whole experience in real time so that if anyone out there like me wanted to know about the experience, they'd have one. I think I pretty realistically detailed everything, I didn't try to brighten things or wait too long to write so I forgot details... anyhoo, here is Andrew's birth story from leaving our apartment the day we checked into the hospital through our first full day at home:

Tuesday January 8th 2013
10:15 am
Left our apartment for our very last OB appointment!  Mama got very little sleep last night, but hopefully that means passing out at the hospital tonight haha! This morning we grabbed the last of the hospital stuff and bug sprayed the apartment (just in case we need to go in right after the appt for high bp again) since we won't return until Friday or Saturday for good.

12:00pm
Left the OB clinic, no further progress. BP still on the high side so we were sent straight to the hospital for monitoring. We were told that we may be there for several days before baby is born and we have a high chance of a C section but we're staying positive and praying all the medicines work correctly and quickly :) Off to get smoothies before we check in hehe

1:00 pm
Checked in at the hospital,  bp was in the norm at the first reading, still doing well. Baby is doing great, getting settled and being monitored. Will start the cervidil this afternoon and then 12 straight hours of bedrest before starting pitocin. Did a urine lab yet again (man I can't wait to be done with those), hooked up to wireless monitors for baby's heartbeat and contractions, bp taken a few times, IV connector set up and 5 vials of blood taken....

6:55 pm
Finally given the cervidil! One of the most uncomfortable procedures so far lol.... had to have an internal exam and then the medication is put it- looks like a long, noodly straw. SO weird. having irregular contractions that I can't feel and now having cramps from the medicine. Also excited over the rumor I may have some solid food coming... the broth/ juice/ jello dinner didn't quite satisfy my burger craving haha ;)

9:53 pm
Apparently still contracting.. still don't feel it. Was given some dinner- best salad, ginger ale, and chex mix EVER. Hubby enjoyed some soup off my tray hehe :) been channel surfing and web surfing, chatting and playing with a chat pack. Getting ready for sleep soon so we're rested for tomorrow! So grateful for the sweet and kind staff here!

Wednesday January 9th 2013
2:45 am
Hospital beds are uncomfortable!!! Got a few hours of sleep but just can't get back to it. The monitors don't help a ton lol. Also either feeling cramping from the medicine or starting to feel contractions. Feeling a lot of tightness and some pretty strong period-like cramps in my low back especially.... fun fun fun haha! Jumping at the bit to start the pitocin and jusr get this show on the road!

8:30am
Well the cramping/ contractions got bad enough that they ended up giving me a drug through my IV- made me super dizzy and tired but helped a lot! Woke up again after seven to have an exam (the cervidil worked! AND I was another almost two cm dialated), and got another dose of drugs for the now intense back pain. During my breakfast of veggie broth and jello, I threw up twice... tried to have a few sips of water every so often to help hydrate. The drugs obviously did not help this time so three hours later I was given another dose .... still no help. So Jesse continually brought me cold cloths to ward off nausea from the pain, and I just laid on my side with my eyes screwed tight clinging to the side rail and breathing lol. Also threw up 3 or 4 more times from pain nausea. Poor nurses having to change the bedding over and over... and thank goodness for hubby helping clean ME off. I love him :)

12:00pm
OB arrived- pitocin worked great- made it to 7 cm! My water had started to leak so she went ahead and broke it and then called for the epidural thank goodness. Apparently I have an awesome poker face cuz eventually I just couldn't move during contractions and they were all "you're having pain right now??" Lol.... epidural went much more smoothly than expected except Jesse had to leave the room, it took awhile and once they touched bone so that felt pretty weird haha! Basically they raised up the bed and had me hunch over a pillow. They then gave me a numbing shot-- it pinched and burned a tiny bit but nothing more than maybe a bee sting. After that they put in the bigger needle and the tube thingy that feeds the medicine-- this part took awhile and was uncomfortable, it felt almost as if I was having traveling back aches, no pain just weird achiness. After all that though they just taped me up and started the medication. It took only about two minutes to start feeling it. I was worried I would get really dizzy but did not feel woozy whatsoever! My legs very quickly went numb and had to have people move them for me as needed haha. Very quickly Jesse came back in and I could finally communicate with jesse other than grunts and head nods haha! Another funny aspect... didn't realize that you shake so bad with the epidural, I felt like a cartoon character shaking with my teeth chattering, but I didn't care cuz I was comfortable finally lol... Thank God for epidurals :)

2:00pm
Fully dialted and ready to get the show on the road! They decided to turn down the epidural but the tech turned it off... started the delivery around 2:30 feeling fine but by the end of it 1 1/2 hours or so later, it got kind of intense. The environment was very calm and quiet and I felt very comfortable (despite the discomfort lol). I actually was giggling in between contractions because I couldn't figure out how to breathe right so I felt like my head was going to explode a few times haha.. Squemish look away! I did have an episiotomy and some tearing and thanks to the epidural being shut off I had to get local drugs after feeling the stitching needle once- I promise it was not painful, just uncomfortable. And squeezing Jesse's hand/ having baby placed on my chest distracted me plenty.

4:19pm
Welcomed Andrew Kenneth to the world! 22" and 8 lbs 15oz! He is so calm and laid back and silly and perfect :)  Baby was cleaned up and we were given dinner and a few hours to ourselves before the night nurses came in to do check ups on me and baby. This part is definitely the oddest. I feel like my guts are all gonna fall out lol no pain just straaaange feeling!bI always has heard that you forget the pain as soon as you see baby and here is my experience: I did not haha, but I mean the second you stop feeling pain, it isn't as bad. So immediately after birth I was fine, just uncomfortable as I was being stitched up-- I was joking a bit even with Jesse and the nurses. Especially once they are done and leave you alone for a bit, you really start forgetting/ getting over it. The worst part for me was contractions-- not gonna lie all I wanted to do was cry but I didn't think that would help. Breathing did though. The classic "in through the nose, out through the mouth" bit.

11:35pm
Everything is going well, baby and I are doin great and we are loving the insane feeling of becoming parents! I remember thinking when they laid baby on my chest "whoa there really WAS a baby in there!" Lol my brain is odd.... jesse is also enjoying poking my jello tummy haha it IS pretty entertaining I must say ;) baby has been sleeping since about 9 or 930 and currently napping on daddy :) gonna try to get some shut eye now before he gets hungry again :)

Thursday January 10th 2013
1:03pm
It's crazy how calm baby is! So far he can easily be consoled by being held, fed, changed or burped and he is sleeping a TON.  I am doing well, walking around is getting much better and other than some cramping and aching, I'm not in any pain. We're gonna miss the hospital with its nurses and food delivery (haha) but we're soooooo excited to bring him home!!! Today is all check ups, shots for me and baby, paperwork and phone calls and it sounds like we will be discharged tomorrow afternoon!

Saturday January 12th 2013
4:19pm
The rest of Thursday went well, all our check ups went fine and we did some phone call-making and TV watching. Friday was a loooooot of paperwork! Right after breakfast we had to fill out some forms for registration, we got advance directive forms, made Andrew's first pediatrician appointment, etc. Later on we also filled out paperwork for the birth certificate and social security card. In the afternoon we were told we each needed a check up and then we would be clear to go but then another woman went into delivery so the OB got called away. We found out at about 6pm that she would instead just be doing a follow-up call with me since the nurses were reporting that I was healing well. Baby was taken to the nursery around 5 for his final check-ups and he got his hepatitis shot while I got my shot. The hospital's pediatrician told us we needed to wait another two hours for test results because Andrew was borderline Jaundice so if it came back positive we needed to stay one more night for light treatments. Thankfully, they were negative and at about 9pm discharge began. I signed lots of paperwork and we received lots of papers/ info and prescriptions for pain medications. Just after 9:30 a wheelchair was brought up, our bags were packed and we started the trek home. Once home we changed and fed baby, put him in PJs and put him to bed, all of us asleep by around 11pm. Baby woke me up first at 5am-- he gave us almost SIX WHOLE HOURS of uninterrupted sleep!!! I fed and changed him and went back to bed for a few more hours and then let Jesse take the next turn.

Today we've mainly been resting. Baby has been a bit more fussy today but I think it's just because he's beginning to poo a lot more haha, poor thing just doesn't get what's goin on. We've been in bed (Jesse is out on an errand at the moment) most of the day, having the pack and play beside me helps so much with getting him and putting him down!

What I have learned so far:
-MAKE PADSICLES. Seriously, they are amazing. I was given witchhazel pads which were very nice but having my own pads is super nice and the coolness is great as well :)
-Crock pot meals are awesome, we have one cooking right now. Also stocking up on granola bars, easy meals, etc is fantastic! It's already making life so much simpler!
-Have a garbage ready to go by the changing station. Why we never thought of this....I will never know but goodness it makes life easier! Jesse also found a diaper genie for $20 so that's pretty awesome!
-Pee pee tee pees are really not that helpful. Get some cheap washcloths and drape them over the baby, it works so much better!
-When in doubt over crying, change the diaper-- even if it is dry and clean, it will irritate the baby enough that they will want to be fed right after for comfort and that generally always puts Andrew into a coma for a few hours. Also putting baby face down onto your chest and letting them lay there puts them to sleep in a second!
-Relax. I think we both have had a few moments of thinking we're doing something wrong or that baby is made of glass but we got over it fast. We don't have the answers, we're gonna do things wrong, baby will pee on your bed (yes that happened today lol), but all baby needs is care and love and we're doing good in those terms :)

Also I'd like to take a moment to thank my amazing hubby:

He was so calming for me when going into the hospital, and helpful with distracting me from the situation on Tuesday, and since up until the epidural I was in pain, the poor guy... he kept asking what he could do and trying to comfort me but it was hard for me to talk period and him touching me took away my concentration so I swatted him away several times and had him bringing me cool cloths again and again but wouldn't even let him put them on me... he kept pacing and looking at me with a worried expression... and then finally after the epidural you could see the relief on his face when I grabbed his hand, smiled and began talking again lol!
During our stay at the hospital he was very attentive and helpful and caring and now that we're home that hasn't changed. He has been absolutely wonderful throughout this process and I cannot appreciate him enough <3 <3 <3

To wrap things up, Jesse is awesome, baby is adjusting to home life very well and behaving wonderfully, and other than some minor cramping and aching I am doing great as well. It is finally beginning to hit me a bit as reality sets in and I think I've cried with happiness about 4 times so far this afternoon haha! I cannot express how full and happy my heart is! I've known for a long long time that I've wanted children but now having our perfect son and my wonderful husband together is so overwhelmingly wonderful and amazing... words cannot express how blessed I feel for this beautiful life <3

41 weeks, the last week of being pregnant!

"It seems like your baby has opted for a late checkout, quite a popular option judging by the numbers. Fewer than five percent of babies are born on their actual due dates — and around 50 percent decide to overstay their welcome in Hotel Uterus, thriving well into the tenth month. Remember, too, that most of the time an overdue baby isn't overdue at all — it's just that the due date was off. But your baby isn’t just lounging around in there, waiting for his big day. His endocrine system is getting ready to produce stress hormones (you aren’t the only one who’s stressed!), which he’ll need to survive outside the womb."
--whattoexpect.com

How far along? 41 weeks. Holy moley I'm feelin like a preggo elephant this is going on so long lol! ;)

Maternity clothes? Goodness yes.

Sleep: So far so good this week... other than just being in pain when I get up to pee multiple times a night.

Best moment this week: Spending time one on one with hubby and probably just knowing this is the week we meet baby. Yes being induced still worries me a bit but I just can't wait to see and hold our little guy!

Miss Anything? So much... still. Haha mainly not having a belly/ being comfortable once in awhile.

Movement: Lots of kicks/ stretching on my ribs and right below. Pushing out on my side and lots of hiccups and movement in my pelvis.

Food cravings: I want smoothies and toasted tuna fish sandwiches almost every day haha

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not lately.

Gender: Boy

Labor Signs: Nope, just signs it's near. Mainly lately the pressure/ache in my pelvis is the biggest sign.

Symptoms: Hip and back aches, round ligament pain, pelvic pressure/aching....

Belly Button in or out? It is pretty much permanently poking out just a bit in the center.

Wedding rings on or off? Still on!

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy but SO IMPATIENT!!!

Looking forward to: Baby's arrival! So looking forward to the first touches, kisses, cuddles, pictures.... I had a moment of realization as we were watching one of our favorite tv shows that the next time we watch it we will be home with baby. SO EXCITED!!!!

40 weeks... and baby officially has been given an eviction notice ;)

"Congratulations! This week marks the official end of your pregnancy. Your baby probably weighs anywhere from six to nine pounds and measures between 19 and 22 inches (though tons of perfectly healthy babies are smaller or bigger). The bones in his skull haven’t fused yet.— Mother Nature’s way of making it easier to get through the birth canal during labor and delivery. He now has enough fat under the skin to maintain his body temperature outside the womb (with a little help from those cute outfits and swaddling blankets that you’ve been stocking up on!). You (or actually the placenta) are still providing the antibodies he’ll need to fight off infections for the first six months of his life. And if you plan on breastfeeding, your milk will be giving him more antibodies that’ll boost his immune system."
--whattoexpect.com

How far along? 40 weeks!! What's the deal, baby??

Maternity clothes? Pssch, this week its been babydoll dresses, maternity leggings and a nightgown 24/7 lol

Sleep: So far so good this week.

Best moment this week: Being done with the 24hr protein lab. Not that it sucked that much but let's just say... I shall never take peeing like a normal person for granted again lol

Miss Anything? So much.

Movement: Lots of kicks/ stretching on my ribs and right below. Pushing out on my side and lots of hiccups and movement in my pelvis.

Food cravings: I could live on smoothies and frozen yogurt 24/7. Luckily we are broke and therefore cannot get those things haha!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Still the meat stuff....

Gender: Boy

Labor Signs: No :( tho the last time we were at the hospital we were told that I was having contractions, I just ccouldn't feel them... also another progression but still not enough, sigh.

Symptoms: Hip and back aches, cramping, round ligament pain and rib pain from baby kicking them...

Belly Button in or out? It is pretty much permanently poking out just a bit in the center.

Wedding rings on or off? on-- and they are now officially my tools for measuring swelling (I now have to be on the lookout for high bp symptoms...)

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy but SO IMPATIENT!!!

Looking forward to: Baby's arrival! It cannot come soon enough-- I am so anxious to hold him and cuddle him and kiss him... and Jesse is officially jealous and wants HIS baby time as well haha

So here is the news: at our appointment this week we were told that there were no developments so next week they are going to induce! Of course i have been prepping myself and talking myself through the birth and possibility of a c section so those i am at ease about yet  never did i consider inducing so i am now officially anxious lol. We were sent in for high bp again- ridiculous as they took my bp after having us shut in a boiling room for 45 minutes as i got super hormonal lol... baby was fine and my bp lowered quickly after being hooked up. So our inducing looks like it'll be happening on tuesday if not monday. Were doing our best to follow advice to get baby out on his own but if he refuses, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers next week for an easy, safe delivery... and for me to relax about the whole inducing thing haha :)

Ttfn! ♥
