We have a Vlog channel!

So hubby and I decided to *gulp* Vlog. We made a family channel - The Schmittabels - thank my bestie for the name ;)

Take a look, let us know what you'd like to see more of  (or less of). It's new, we're both awkward as hell and have just the tiniest idea of what we're doing so help us out haha!

Our first video is just of a day at home/ getting groceries but I promise they'll get more interesting.

Crock Pot Pulled Pork

Yum. Seriously.

2 medium yellow onions, thinly sliced
4 medium garlic cloves, thinly sliced
1 cup chicken stock or low-sodium chicken broth
1 tablespoon packed dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon kosher salt, plus more as needed
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 (4-1/2- to 5-pound) boneless or bone-in pork shoulder (also known as pork butt), twine or netting removed
2 cups barbecue sauce (optional)

1.) Place the onions and garlic in an even layer in the slow cooker and pour in the stock or broth. Combine the sugar, chili powder, measured salt, cumin, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Pat the pork dry with paper towels. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork and place the meat on top of the onions and garlic. Cover and cook until the pork is fork tender, about 6 to 8 hours on high or 8 to 10 hours on low.
2.) Turn off the slow cooker and remove the pork to a cutting board. Set a fine-mesh strainer over a medium heatproof bowl. Pour the onion mixture from the slow cooker through the strainer and return the solids to the slow cooker. Set the strained liquid aside.
3.) If the pork has a bone, remove and discard it. Using 2 forks, shred the meat into bite-sized pieces, discarding any large pieces of fat. Return the shredded meat to the slow cooker, add the barbecue sauce, if using, and mix to combine. If you’re not using barbecue sauce, use a spoon to skim and discard the fat from the surface of the strained cooking liquid, and then add 1/4 cup of the liquid at a time to the slow cooker until the pork is just moistened. Taste and season with salt as needed.

Phase Three Apartment Decoration

So we decided we wanted something for Andrew's bathroom, and we found this picture from IKEA and thought it would work perfectly!

I also really love this set of prints off of Etsy. How cute! I really like this one as well!

Then at the beginning of February we found a great deal on a King Size bed frame and mattress/box set.

We ordered our bedding from Zulily - I just posted the main link haha - too many to look through. We finally received it at the end of February (it came with the throw pillows as well). And we found some great sheet sets at the Florida State Fair that we still adore!

And finally we also purchased this shoe rack. It ended up way bigger than we thought it would be, but we love it! It sort of finishes out the entry way, and works great! Andrew loves running up to it after we come inside, holds on to the side of it and lifts his foot for me to take his shoes off, haha!

Saint Patricks Day 2015

Hope y'all had a wonderful day spent with your loved ones - safe and full of green stuff ;)

Andrew and I had some quick breakfast before waking Jesse up and heading out. This was our third year attending the Mayor's River O'Green Festival and by far, the most fun we've had.

We got a great spot to watch the river being dyed, shared a delicious orange-mango popsicle, had some food, some drinks, played in the sprinklers, got some fun free loot and I got a nice tan, haha!

What we've been up to lately...

Photo dump!
We took Andrew to see the Spongebob Movie - he loved it, sat quietly, ate a TON of popcorn, and was smiling the whole time!

I made munchkin some edible playdough and we cut out shapes (definitely want to get some little tools for him to play more next time)

Went shopping at Wiregrass/ rode the train with daddy!

Andrew got some awesome light-up Paw Patrol sneakers for soccer

Also here are our mommy-and-me TOMS shoes, and hubby's new watch for work

Then recently we went to music class downtown, found an awesome playground/water park/ice cream shoppe/pier and then went to a free day at the Glazier Children's Museum:

Had to go buy a new trash can and pillow for Andrew. His grandparents bought him this sweet puppy pillow pet back a while and Andrew LOVED it. Literally, he refuses to lay down to sleep without it. SO, when it had been peed on a million times and it's nose was super dirty we decided we really needed to replace it. I was super worried that he would be upset since it would be different (they didn't have any of the puppy dog left) but he picked out a seal and held it all the way home and is now obsessed with the new one. I still snuck his old one out while Jesse distracted him though haha!

TTFN! <3

♡Our weekend♡ 2.21.15

Because hubby worked Valentine's weekend, we had to make our date night the next weekend... well, it ended up turning into a date weekend, haha!

Saturday afternoon, we dropped Andrew off at Granny's and then headed to the movie theater. We saw

(And thought it was great! Everyone in the theater was laughing, it's actually pretty funny)

After getting home we relaxed a bit (I had made sure that all the housework had been finished that morning), we dressed up a bit and headed to Malios for a yummy steak and seafood dinner.

It was so nice getting home to a clean apartment, not having to be quiet or clean or make dinner... we opened a bottle of wine and curled up to watch FRIENDS, haha!

Sunday we slept in. As. Late. As. We. Could. Lol seriously, most glorious thing ever, not having to get up for Andrew- the puppy was outside and no hotel checkout time. SO good! We ate some muffins, turned on the pre oscars coverage, eventually got a ton of sushi

and then got ready for Hollywood Night!

We had a lot of fun again this year at the Oscar's event but we both agreed that it might be more fun to have a viewing party next year :)
