Halloween!! (and 31 week bump)

Baby got dressed like a pumpkin haha :)

"Weighing in at three-plus pounds and measuring 18 inches long, your baby is quickly approaching his birth length — though he's got to pack on another three to five pounds before D-day. Also developing at an impressive clip: your baby's brain connections (he's got to make trillions of them!). He's now processing information, tracking light, and perceiving signals from all five senses. He's also putting in longer stretches of sleep, which is why you're probably noticing more defined patterns of wakefulness (and movement) and rest (when he’s pretty still)."

 How far along? 31 Weeks

Maternity clothes? Today I am wearing ALL pre-pregnancy clothes! Granted it's a cami, stretchy tee and yoga pants lol

Sleep: Sleep is pretty good, of course still getting up often and re-positioning often but... otherwise good :)

Best moment this week:
Halloween of course!!! Had a baking overload, and made a yummy dinner, plus the family time and festivities was a lot of fun :) Oh and THE CRIB CAME!!! :-D

Miss Anything? I am officially in the uncomfortable stage. I miss sitting/ laying comfortably and having energy....

Movement: Lots of hiccups, and kicks/ punches galore!! This morning I swear he was hitting or kicking every side of my stomach at the same time... celebrating the day I'm sure haha!

Food cravings: Sweets, lol... it was really hard to not touch the candy all week but today I get to indulge!! Haha

Anything making you queasy or sick: Stiiiiiiill hamburger....

Gender: Boy :)

Symptoms: Back aches, hip aches... and lots of saying "ouch" whenever baby punches my sides haha

Belly Button in or out? Still a pancake, sometimes when I take a deep breath it pokes out a little-- super duper strange.

Wedding rings on or off? On!

Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY! And nesting like mad lol

Looking forward to: Getting the rest of the furniture and setting up the nursery the rest of the way! Also I have to admit I am excited for the Twilight finale and then...THANKSGIVING!!

30 weeks, holy moley!

"Your belly’s increasing size is a definite clue that your baby is getting bigger every day, weighing in at over three pounds now (he’ll be packing on the weight at a rate of half a pound per week for the next seven weeks). Also growing daily is his brain, which is actually starting to look like the real thing with those characteristic grooves and wrinkles. And now that your little genius can regulate his own body temperature and turn up the heat, he'll start shedding lanugo, the downy body hair that's been keeping him warm up until now."

How far along? 30 Weeks

Total weight gain: Found  out today I have gained a total of 13 1/2 lbs which still freaks me out a bit but seeing as we are almost there, I can't complain too much.

Maternity clothes? Yup-- I'm loving the maternity jeans, and alternating pre-pregnancy tops here and there....

Sleep:  Still good! I wake up around 6 or 7 to use the bathroom but that's about it, so really sleep is pretty good!

Best moment this week: FINALLY getting into see a doctor lol! Everything is still going well and just waiting to hear back about how the gestational diabetes screening went-- I was pretty ify about this experience but it wasn't bad! Had to drink a small bottle of what tasted like flat orange soda in 5 minutes and then got blood taken after an hour of waiting. I have to admit I got acid reflux and nausea after the hour of waiting but I'm better now-- just relieved it is done and hoping for good results!

Miss Anything? Having energy, lunchmeat and sleeping/ laying on my stomach! I am so crazy ready for all of those things to come back!! Don't get me wrong, I have been blessed with an easy and healthy/ happy pregnancy but I am getting to the point where I just want to meet baby already and have my body back lol!

Movement: Yes! SOOOO much, sometimes I think he is teaching himself to tap dance of something in there... either that or he really is his father's son and is practicing his Capoeria moves lol

Food cravings: I still could eat frozen yogurt like everyday. We have some in the freezer and went to get some the other day-- I'm obsessed with cake batter mixed with choc chips and kit kats haha soooooo healthy! Other than that I am still very much enjoying yogurt, bananas, milk.... and sweets. Chocolate calls to me...seriously, it's an issue lol

Anything making you queasy or sick: Hamburger. And now also the thought of orange soda haha

Gender: Boy!!

Symptoms: Still SOME heartburn, achy back, and some stomach issues. Otherwise doin pretty good!

Belly Button in or out? still flat

Wedding rings on or off? on

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy and anxious!

Looking forward to: The holidays!!! I really will miss both of our wonderful families over the holidays but I have to admit that I AM really excited to have our own family holidays-- they will be much more fun when Andrew is here but still. I am very excited! Halloween is just around the corner!! Will be decorating next week, and have a yummy dinner planned! There will also be cupcakes, cookies, pumpkin pie, scary movies, candy for the trick or treaters, and lots of fall-smelling candles and cuddling with hubby :)

How cute are these tiny shoes and little button up (Yes Jesse chose the shirt hehe)

And I laughed so hard in the store at this, I decided it had to be bought lol!

29 weeks ♥

"How big is your baby this week? He weighs nearly three pounds now and measures about 17 inches. Though he's getting pretty close to his birth length, he still has to chub out a bit. In fact, over the next 11 weeks, he'll more than double — or even come close to tripling — his weight. And as he grows and the room in your womb gets tighter, you'll be less likely to feel those big kicks and more likely to get poked by an elbow or jabbed by a knee."

How far along? 29 Weeks

Maternity clothes? Yessssss :)

Sleep: This week it's been great because we have been so exhausted. I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow and I don't wake up to pee.

Best moment this week: Seeing friends and family!

Miss Anything? Being comfortable......and lunchmeat.

Movement: Not so many kicks anymore (I'm sure he's running out of room to wind up lol) He still pushes his appendages up against my tummy and there's plenty of movement.

Food cravings: Not really cravings but just eating food more often and whatever strikes me at the time as sounding good lol.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Hamburger

Gender: Boy

Symptoms: Plenty of uncomfortable moments but nothing too terrible. This is the first weeks of Braxton-Hicks still surprised at how calm I was during them haha.

Belly Button in or out? Pancake not even as flat as this. Looks soooo weird.

Wedding rings on or off? On!

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy.......and sleepy :) Ready to get home and have our bed back even though it's been so fun with our friends and relatives.

Looking forward to: The holidays, getting home/being done traveling, and meeting baby Andrew!

SEVEN MONTHS/ 28 weeks

<3

"Your baby is settling into the proper position for birth, with his head facing downward (toward your body's nearest exit!). Your little work in progress is now about 2.5 pounds and almost 16 inches long. He's busy adding new skills such as blinking to an already impressive repertoire of tricks like coughing, sucking, hiccuping, and taking practice breaths. Your baby's sleep now includes the REM (rapid eye movement) phase — and that means he could be dreaming already (what do you suppose he's dreaming about?)."
--whattoexpect.com

Thanks to hubby for making the chalkboard this week while I lounged on the couch lol

How far along? 28 Weeks

Maternity clothes? Today I wore maternity jeans and a maternity long sleeve top and was SO comfortable!! I'm loving these clothes lol

Stretch marks? No new ones as far as I can tell, though it's getting hard to see around my belly haha!

Sleep: Had about two days or so recently where I could not sleep due to intense back pain on my right side... thankfully due to some massages from hubby and a bit more walking around every day I'm back to sleeping soundly :)

Best moment this week: Finding out that I have insurance!!! I have also since located an OB clinic, and am waiting to see if they 'accept' my case or not. I did also find out that I don't need a letter from the doc to fly so now 99.9% sure we are flying to MN in 6 days!!! :-D

Miss Anything? Sleeping on my tummy and easily getting comfy on the couch haha, we do have a recliner coming (late anniversary gift from my mom) and a glider coming with the baby furniture so hopefully those will be easier to get comfy in

Movement: All the time, especially at night, which I hear is common. I don't feel it as much when I'm up and moving around which I suppose makes sense but man is he an active little guy or what!!

Food cravings: BBQ sauce on popeyes chicken strips haha! That and yogurt. I could have yogurt for every meal-- no joke.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Still the hamburger thing.

Gender: Boy!!

Symptoms: Less heartburn--huzzah!! Actually I'm doing a lot better in most regards. Just getting tough to get up and out of things like the couch, the car and booths haha

Belly Button in or out? Pretty much flat as a pancake. Just the very center is clinging inwards-- I imagine a cat with all four paws on the side of a bathtub being like "NO! I WON'T DO IT!"... that is my belly button haha

Wedding rings on or off? On! And still pretty loose... Mainly I think all the weight is going straight to my tummy. People are saying the rest of me has thinned out lol

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, but I can definitely get worked up easily. Mainly I can get stressed out or anxious at the drop of a hat. Trying to stay calm and peaceful as much as possible so baby has a nice environment ;)

Looking forward to: Halloween!!! And visiting peoples :)

Look at that handsome soon-to-be-daddy :)

Aaaaaaand of course this blog would not be complete without some pics of the goings-on baby wise in the apartment:

some cute little things...

I was inspired by one of the gal's blogs that I follow (anwjohnston.blogspot.com) to make a diaper strap for our diaper bag, so here are some pics of the process!

Disposable diapers (for outings only) from Nicole and John

Fabric and button from Joanne Fabrics

Hemming the sides

Added the button

Sewing a buttonhole

And voila! Diaper strap a success. I also put a large safety pin on it for when we use the diapers and have too much room in the strap.

Our newest pacifier came in the other day-- we've been wanting this since we found out we were preggers :)

Alphabet stickers! Going on the inside of Andrew's door and spelling his name out on the front (and yes there is an elephant sticker hehe)

Jesse got SO excited about this, so it had to be bought lol

Basket for diaper changing items on top of the dresser....

And bubble mirrors to go above the changing area... hopefully to make the room look a tad bit bigger :)
