10 Weeks and counting!

Here we are at week 10!!!!
"Baby now has small indentations on his legs (soon to be knees and ankles!), and his tiny arms even have elbows that bend. Inside that little mouth, tiny buds of baby teeth are forming under the gums. His stomach and kidneys are kicking into gear, producing digestive juices and urine, and if it's a boy, his testes are making testosterone (how manly!)." --Whattoexpect.com

How far along? 10 Weeks now, wow!
Maternity clothes? Nope, still rockin the hobo look... did find stretchy jeans for $4 though which I am LOVING
Stretch marks? Nope, slathering cocoa butter like mad though lol
Sleep: Good except for the ridiculous amount of times I have to get up to pee! Good lord, my bladder feels like it's the size of a walnut sometimes!
Best moment this week: Father's day with my wonderful hubby or today with all my campers doing sooo well at their dance!
Miss Anything?  Oh yes, the smell of sushi makes me weak in the knees, I had to hide the last beer in the fridge, and Jesse is under strict instructions not to hold a beer near my face for fear I will grab it and chug it, haha
Showing Yet? No, still got my pooch from way too many hot dogs though. I do feel a bit rounded though so I guess baby is gettin bigger!
Movement: Nope, but apparently his/her little arms and legs moving around are making me queasy.
Food cravings:  Fruit ...and milk now! Yay! I'm trying to eat the fruits that are darker inside so they have more nutrients. We bought broccoli, green peppers, pluots, lemons, cantelope, grapefruit, and more snacks like those-- yummmm!!
Anything making you queasy or sick: So far not really. Though randomly I smell like wet cat food so strongly it is so gross!!! Thinking of gross things, and the smell of gyros and scrambled eggs still.
Gender Prediction: Boy methinks. BUT maybe we will break the boy trend! Sooo many boys born in our families lately!
Labor Signs: Noooope... I think I shall get rid of this question...
Symptoms:  Nausea-- still comes in waves. I did have Jesse pick up a pound of peppermints though so that is helping a bunch!! Fatigue-- still can barely keep my eyes open after a long day. Acne-- on my shoulder. WTF? And of course peeing like crazy!!! The other day, we got home at midnight from salsa. Had to make FIVE trips to the bathroom in 2 hours and then during my 8 hours of sleep I got up 3 or 4 times to go. Ridiculous!!! Can't wait for baby to make its new home in my tummy rather than atop my bladder.
Belly Button in or out? IN!
Wedding rings on or off? ON!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy. I am still getting major mood swings, but they're very short lived so if I snap and Jesse I apologize right away or if I bawl like a baby at ...say... "So you think you can Dance" auditions (sigh), I can get over it fast.
Looking forward to: Having an actual baby bump, starting the 2nd trimester and feeling baby move!

Marathon and Father's Day!

Whew! This weekend was PACKED!
Saturday was Grandma's Marathon here in D-Town. Jesse and I got stuff set up late Friday night and then he dropped me off at about 6:20am near the studio. Some of the dancers and I handed out water for the runners and cheered until our throats hurt-- it was a lot of fun and really rewarding too. We kept shouting "Only one Mile left" and so many people got these big grins, or ran faster, or started running from walking.... it felt great to inspire people to keep going that were already such an inspiration. :)
Everyone commented on our shot-sized cups :)

awesome costume

Sunday of course, was FATHER'S DAY!!!! We had a very busy day! I made Jesse breakfast in bed (Hashbrowns, denver omlets, apple cinnamon muffins and strawberries), we watched a few "Pushing Daisies" episodes, went to see "Snow White and the Huntsman" with my mom, had a few hours of rehearsal, and finally we went to J.J. Astor for dinner. It's this place on top of the Radisson, a rotating restaurant... We ordered Scallops and Osso Bucco and watched the lightening storm and chatted-- it was a wonderful night and a great day with my hubby <3
Food DEMOLISHED

9 Weeks!

So there is this woman named Jessica who also has a blog on here (littlebabygarvin.blogspot.com), and my friend pointed her out to me almost a year ago-- she made the cutest chalkboard and did weekly updates for her readers during her pregnancy. She also created a super cute survey that she posted with the pictures. I loved it so much, I decided I had to copy her for my pregnancy, whenever that might have been.... so, here we go!

Baby is the size of a green olive!

How far along?  9 Weeks! Wow, the last month has flown by!
Maternity clothes? Nope, just dressin like a hobo with comfy pants and stretchy/ loose tops
Stretch marks? No-- Already rubbing my tummy with cocoa butter whenever I remember. I think I'm going to be paranoid about this one and see stuff before it's actually there-- or even if it isn't, period.
Sleep: Last week I was having lots of restless nights, so woke up feeling pretty tired most mornings... but it seems like ti is passing, yay!
Best moment this week: Getting to meet all the camp kids/ start classes!
Miss Anything? Woodchuck Cider like you would not believe-- It's like my one favorite drink besides vodka redbulls and I had one for the first time in months and then I got preggers so it was a cruel taunting lol ;) Also sushi, smoked salmon sandwiches, and normal turkey lunchmeat. AND being able to work out however I want. Dang having a month of being lazy. I am sneaking in some pure barre exercises though hehe :)
Showing Yet? Well, not technically, but the laying around plus all the hot dogs I craved the first few weeks DEFINITELY caught up with me. I'm pretending it's all baby though lol ;)
Movement: Nope, though I am reeeeeeeally excited for when I can say yes to this!!!!! It's prolly my imagination but sometimes when I'm stretched out in bed I feel like I can feel the slightest roundish bump in my lower abdomen. Maybe it's something or maybe it's my imagination haha!
Food cravings:  No more hot dogs, yay!!! Now I just want like bucketloads of fruit. And of course some kind of food will pop into my head every so often and then I can just NOT stop thinking about it. Yes, Jesse has already made his first late night food run. Also I finally started craving milk which is good because I am SO not a milk drinker-- luckily Jesse is letting me buy skim milk so that helps too!
Anything making you queasy or sick: So far, the smell of Gyros and Scrambled Eggs, plus the sight of anything kinda jenky lookin.... and then there is bending or turning that makes my head spin haha
Gender Prediction: I really want a girl first, and Jesse really wants a boy but I have a feeling it's a boy. I dunno why, but I do. And I would be perfectly happy with that :)
Labor Signs: Heck no! Oh my gosh, how funny would it be if down the road mid-blog I did though?? Lol how appropriate this would be then! Cuz otherwise I doubt I will log on to answer yes to this question haha!
Symptoms: Nausea for sure-- the past week it's hit HARD out of nowhere... sucking on peppermints is helping a ton, thanks Lexi Shyne!! Some major stretching of my tummy muscles and ligaments the last two weeks, of course I need to pee like....well, a pregnant woman I suppose lol! Also naps are my new best friend and wow do my arms and back and legs, etc. get tired out fast!
Belly Button in or out? IN!
Wedding rings on or off? ON!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Ummm, I'm happy I think. Lol I definitely am experiencing the mood swings, and poor Jesse gets the worst of it :( I also will be much happier when the first trimester is over so I can relax a bit more. I'm so on edge these days worrying that I am going to do something wrong!!
Looking forward to: The second trimester!!! Going to NY, Moving, dance show, meeting baby etc. but let's take it one thing at a time haha :)

Jesse is working 40 hours every week now and I am busy with summer camp teaching and trying to keep the dishes and laundry to a minimum. New this week is wooziness like crazy, but keeping it pretty much at bay with peppermints, yummm! I also got WAY too excited when I heard pluots are back at Cub foods!!!

This weekend we have rehearsals, volunteering outside of Avalon for Grandma's marathon, a movie and hopefully sweet potato sushi also on Saturday, and *drumroll please*, FATHER'S DAY!!! We actually got our crap together and sent out cards today, I have my little surprise for Jesse, and we have a romantic dinner planned  at J.J. Astor to celebrate Jesse's first Father's Day. We especially wanted to do this because Jesse can't make it down to his parent's house :-/ So, I'm hoping it'll still be special even though he won't see his family for a bit longer...

Also.... Jesse's brother's girlfriend told me about "Elephant Skin" color paint! It is PERFECT! I can already see it in Baby's room, it would look sooo pretty!!! :-D

The news is out!!!

Well now I'm so excited that it's finally out there, I had to blog about it again. I'm getting addicted! This could be bad....

Anyhoooooo, we've been thinking a lot about what we want/ hope that baby's nursery will look like and we wanted to share some ideas!

First off, I love the idea of gray walls for some reason. I also love the idea of trimming it in white and adding some color. This photo shows pretty much exactly what I am hoping to do to the walls of baby's room:

I love the walls
Isn't it adorable???
And, as most of you know, I am absolutely obsessed with elephants in baby's room. I seriously have found furniture, rugs, bedding, curtains, humidifiers, lamps, hampers, diaper hangers, etc. Although I love love LOVE all of those things, I'm thinking we should keep it to a moderation so baby doesn't grow up hating elephants...that would break my heart lol!! Here are a few of my favorite things:

Love the lamp!!
Just the lamp on this one...
I just swoon over this picture. Love the black and white. Love the little girl. Love the elephant. Love it all. Has to be in nursery
To hang in the nursery-- maybe above changing table?
elephants!
Elephant mobile
I really like this one
Precious!
I just need 3 baby elephants :)
Definitely want to put this up above the crib :)

What do you think?? Of course, baby also has a stuffed elephant toy and I reeeeeally want this:

Creative Cards... Snorkel, gorgeous elephant rattle
Other than that, I'm not really sure how much elephant stuff we will have. I DID find an adorable onesie, elephant slippers and a rocking elephant so who knows :)

Lastly, one thing we know for sure is that we want dark wood furniture. So basically, gray, white, dark brown and blue will be making up this room. I originally wanted a yellow and green room but... maybe for the next baby haha.

Here's an idea of the furniture:
