Jesse only gets two weekends off a month so we try to make the best of them. Sometimes we stay in, sometimes we drop Andrew off at Granny's and have some time to ourselves and sometimes.... we go to the beach!!
We left a little later than originally planned but we still got to the beach around noon. We picked up some sand toys along the way, found a place to park and got comfy on the beach. We bring an umbrella and chair with us that I utilized for the last half of the day which was very nice because neither of us got burned!
One thing we learned: apply sunscreen BEFORE getting onto the beach. My skin is still a bit raw from all the sand I rubbed into it along with the sunscreen LOL

So we played for a bit, then hung out in the water and finally finished the day with Andrew and Jesse building (and then destroying) sand castles. We got some food and then headed home for all of us to take a nice, long nap.
Sunday we went to church, had Granny over for lunch and Jesse and I got to go to a movie! We saw Avengers Age of Ultron and it was flippin' fantastic. I am not an action movie person but I adore all of these movies and they just keep getting better. My one qualm is that we have to wait to long for the third (and probably last) one. :(
